The phrase "online learning experience" connotes a more active, engaging role for students and teachers. The Dynamic Learning Environment allows for active learning with live chats, forums where students and teachers can rate messages on their relevance or insight and workshopes that enable users to collaborate and evaluate each other's work. All of theses features create an active learning environment, full of different kinds of student-to-student and student-to-teacher interaction. Online learning is designed to support a style of learning called Social Constructionist Pedagogy. This style of learning is interactive. The difference between a traditional class and Dynamic Learning is the difference between lecture and a discussion.
