An overview of the text and accompanying web sites and multimedia elements is followed by an introduction to computers and the computer industry well as digital basics. An advanced look at information systems, databases and computer programming wraps up the course.

Specific topics coverage includes: PC Repair Fundamentals, Form Factors and Power Supplies, Processors and Chipsets, Motherboards, Memory, Hard Drives, Installing and Supporting I/O devices, Multimedia Devices and Mass Storage, PCs on a Network, Notebooks, Tablet PCs, and PDAs, and Supporting Printers and Scanners.


  • This course takes the student from the just-a-user level to the I-can-fix-this level for most common PC Operating System concerns. This course deals with an effective commination of tools that reinforce both concepts and hands-on, real world experience. It also provides preperation for CompTIA's A+ Operating Systems Technoligies exam and along with MCP-100 prepares you for the ETA's CST and /or CNCT Certification exam.
